DSCN7762The Get Out & Play program is a partnership with Park City School District elementary schools, Weilenmann School of Discovery, Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort, Park City Ice Arena, Utah Olympic Park, White Pine Touring, Young Riders, the Mine Bouldering Gym and the Youth Sports Alliance that offers students in 1st – 5th graders the opportunity to participate affordably in ski, snowboard, cross country, freestyle, freeride, ski jumping, bouldering, mountain biking and ice skating.

This supervised program includes instruction, lift pass, ice time and frequently, transportation from schools to participating venues.  This could not happen without the countless parent volunteers who assist with everything from helping kids ‘gear up’ at the schools, to chaperoning on the buses that transport the students to the select venues, to helping on the mountain or trail with lessons.

The Get Out & Play program truly offers something valuable for just about every student in this community, whether it is getting them off of the couch on Friday afternoon, exposing them to a new sport they have never tried, or challenging their already developed skills.
